I definitely have about 20 different bottles of foundation, and I saw a few of the bloggers talking about a new one….so obviously enough I had to have it to add to the ever growing collection of foundation!
Bourjois is not usually a brand I would initially think of buying foundation from, so I wasn’t really expecting much from this product especially for the price range its in.
I have been using it for about a month now everyday, and I was wearing shade number 53 Light Beige. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised by it. The coverage is good, it doesn’t feel to heavy or cakey on the skin and is very moisturising.
The blurb for the product says it gives
‘HEALTHY GLOW & FLAWLESS COMPLEXION.
HYDRATED AND LUMINOUS SKIN
Give your skin a radiance boost and leave it looking flawless for up to 16 hours’
And I agree with most of what they say, it does give a lovely luminous finish and is light reflecting and does hydrate the skin. As I have said before I do have oily skin so I so use a bit of setting powder to avoid being shiny around my T-zone.
I didn’t find it lasted the whole day however, usually I apply my make up around 7am before work and its usually perfect by the time I get home.
I found with this foundation though that by lunch time I had no makeup left around my nose and mouth! I am one for touching my face a lot during that day and usually dont have a problem. I’m not sure of the reason for this I applied the foundation as I always do and used the same setting powder (Inglot) as I do everyday. Its not a very sheer foundation, so its probably just my skin. But for me it lasted nowhere near 16 hours as advertised.
My verdict on this foundation is 6.5/10, I like it….but I dont love it!
